Hifz-ul -Quran

“Learn, Practice, Propagate Islam & Encourage others to do the same.”

Baitul Hamd is the only full-time girls’ Islamic School in North America that provides memorization of the Quran, Qiraat training, A’lima course and academic education together under one curriculum. Students adhering to this one extended curriculum can become Hafiz, Alima and simultaneously graduate from U.S. Dept. of Education-certified high school.

Alima Course with or without Academic (US State-Approved Curriculum):
One of the highlights of Baitul Hamd is the comprehensive Alima course we offer. We follow the excellent curriculum of the well-established and well-known Islamic Schools and Universities of South Africa.
The ‘Alima course is a comprehensive study of the Islamic Sciences, the breadth of which includes expertise in: Arabic Grammar, Literature, Tafseer, Hadith, Islamic Law, and Islamic History. The coursework will prepare students to become Imams (leaders), School-teachers, Administrators of Islamic Institutions, Academic Researchers and Writers.

This track is for students who are enrolled, as well as those who are not enrolled in Baitul Hamd as a Full-Time student but wish to pursue the study of the Alima course. This is a great opportunity for college students or graduates to pursue higher Islamic studies (Alima course). All students must be of age 10 at minimum and should have basic knowledge and understanding of Islam. After completing hifz or 5th grade from Baitul Hamd, students can pursue Alima course and high school education at the same time the following year. From grades 6 through 12, students start their day at 8:00 A.M. – 11:50 P.M (class hours increase as students progress) studying various Islamic topics (these courses are listed below). After the 12th grade, students are then required to learn for one additional year to complete the study of Hadith and Tafseer. This unique schedule will enable students to complete three educational tracks (Hifz, Alima Course, and State Academics) under one extended curriculum.
